COVID19 - Pandemic
As you will be aware the Covid19 virus is now classified as a pandemic by the WHO. Due to this this we have changed our appointment system to protect patients and staff.
When calling the surgery you will be asked to leave a contact telephone number and a GP will endeavour to call you back within 2 hours. If they feel you need to be seen they will make you an appointment. Please make sure you are available on the number you provide to take the GPs call. If you miss this call unfortunately you will have to call back.
As this virus is very contagious and we are requesting patients do not come to the surgery if they are suffering from any flu like symptoms. The advice is to stay at home and isolate yourself, and seek advice from NHS 111.
There are no medications that can be prescribed unless a secondary infection develops.
There is a new public WiFi available NHS WiFi just follow the instructions to sign on.
8 - 8 Access via HUB surgeries
As part of the government drive to enable patients to access GP appointment from 8am – 8pm 7 days a week our CCG has commissioned a HUB surgery to cover the Horsham practice patients.
This HUB surgery will initially run from 4.30pm – 8.00pm in various surgeries in Horsham and a weekend surgeries in Crawley Urgent Treatment Centre.
These appointments are pre-bookable only and can appointments can be made via the surgery appointments line. Each Horsham practice has an allocated number of appointments each day. You will be seen by various locum GPs, and to access these appointments you must be willing to consent to the sharing of your medical record with the HUB.
NO Longer accepting Pharmacy managed prescriptions
These are no-longer being accepted by ANY surgeries as per CCG directives. There is evidence that this has led to stockpiling and delays in changes of medication.
